Activity Assistant

The Activity Assistant works cooperatively with the Activities Coordinator and Activities Manager in organizing, maintaining and conducting a program of meaningful activities, both group and individual, appropriate to the individual needs and interest of each resident.  This position is a member of the multidisciplinary team that provides services and care to residents.

Our Extended Care facility has openings for C.N.A.’s as a vital contributor to the care of our patients.  Our C.N.A.’s perform routine personal resident care activities to promote comfort, maintain functional ability and contribute to the overall resident care program; all completed under the direction of the resident’s care plan.  We have full-time and part-time positions available.  Job Requirements: Must have current Montana License and BLS certifications-


Clinical Care Navigator
JOB SUMMARY:  Under the general direction and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer the Clinical Care Navigator is responsible for clinical management of patients across the continuum. The Clinical Care Navigator will guide patients, families and caregivers to informed decision regarding care transitions/Acts as a patient advocate/case manager for hospital/clinic patients. Assist with patients returning to the community from other facilities with care transition. Applies review criteria to determine medical necessity for admission and continued stay. Provides clinically based case management, discharge planning and care coordination to facilitate the delivery of cost effective quality healthcare and assists in the identification of appropriate utilization of resources across the continuum of care. Function as a liaison for management, staff, providers, insurance companies, community organizations and other customers Participates in quality improvement and evaluation processes related to the management of patient care. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education/Experience:  Current Montana RN license. Three years acute care hospital experience. Management experience preferred

Responsible for responding to requests for ALS interventions and/or patient transfer for providing emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment according to paramedic protocols and policies approved by the hospital and the ALS system medical director.  Performs other duties related to the provision of care and development of the community EMS system. 


Education/Experience:  Completion of paramedic level training required; Minimum of three years’ full‑time experience preferred as a provider of pre-hospital care in an emergency setting; .Paramedic experience in a two-tiered non-transport ALS system is preferred; full‑time experience must be within one year of date of application.

Technical Skills: 

Other qualifications/certificate/license:  Current EMT‑P registration in the state; Current certification in CPR, American Heart Association Course C or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, American Heart Association; Current motor vehicle operator’s state license




Position Summary
The Patient Services Cashier is responsible for processing patient and insurance payments, contractual adjustments as applicable, as well as reconciling and balancing daily bank deposits in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receives payments from patients and insurance companies.
  • Sort daily cash by entity for posting to individual accounts.
  • Responsible for recording insurance company payments on cash control sheets and submission of daily insurance payments and correspondence received to AR management service.
  • Responsible for daily posting of patient payments to individual accounts.
  • Responsible for daily cash reconciliation and balancing for each entity.
  • Responsible for working receipting correspondence from AR management service and helping to resolve problems.
  • Responsible for compiling EOB’s and maintain an electronic filing system of such.
  • Initiate telephone inquiries to identify payments and remittances.
  • Answers incoming calls and provides resolution or directs to the appropriate party for resolution/action. 
  • Performs various other related office tasks and duties.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:  High School Diploma
Experience:  One year of cashier experience or insurance billing experience in a healthcare organization to include healthcare insurance explanation of benefit review.
Licenses/Certifications:  none required.
Knowledge & Skills:  Knowledge to prepare cash receipt journals, prepare deposit tickets and balance cash funds, highly developed clerical skills, good problem solving and analytical abilities, dependability, flexibility, excellent computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet.  The ability to maintain records, balance books, and general accounting procedures, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to take initiate, work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, detail oriented; knowledge of healthcare insurance billing procedures, collection procedures, and healthcare reimbursement, understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations.
Prefer:  Two to three years’ of cashier experience or insurance billing experience in a healthcare organization. 



HOUSEKEEPER (Posted-10-14-2014)
We have a full-time position, must work every other Saturday. The position maintains hospital, clinic and E.C.F. facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals.  Performs a variety of housekeeping duties that may include dusting, washing, and disinfecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment; sweeping, mopping and gathering and disposing of refuse.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:  High School Diploma or GED, Up to two months to become proficient in all aspects of the position.

JANITOR (Posted-10-14-2014)
We have a full-time position and must be able to work weekends. The position completes the following duties cleans walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital to maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. May be required to help lift or move equipment or furniture.  Operates power waxer and floor scrubber.  JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED, Up to two months to become proficient in all aspects of the position



R.N. or L.P.N- Extended Care Facility- **New Grads are encouraged to apply**
Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.  Supervises and participates in the activities of the Extended Care Department to assure the deliverance of quality care, promotion of comfort, maintenance of functional abilities and respect for resident’s dignity.

R.N. - Home Health- Part- Time
Our home health department is looking for a Registered Nurse and under the general supervision of HH nurse manager, performs diversified clinical duties by providing skilled nursing   care to acutely or chronically ill patients in their homes. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent to a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing; Two years’ acute care nursing experience is required. Must possess current state nursing license and current CPR certification.  Must have current MT state driver’s license and a personal vehicle in good working order.
